Knowledge and reviewed answers
Upload reference documents, approve customer access and choose whether answers need evidence verification.
Use the assistant's Knowledge tab to select your organisation's documents. Retrieval supplies relevant passages; it does not send the entire library with every request.
Prepare and attach a source
- Upload PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown or CSV. The per-file limit is 10 MiB; your plan also limits total documents and storage.
- Wait for processing. Compare extracted passages, tables, numbers, units and page references with the original. Scanned PDFs can use optional English OCR.
- Correct bad extraction by replacing the file and inspecting the new version.
- Select the document for this assistant and save the draft.
- Choose Approve public use if its content may be disclosed on customer channels. A successful private dashboard preview does not grant public disclosure.
Original files and versions are retained according to workspace settings. Retrieved passages are sent to your selected model provider when answering.
Validated documents only
In Knowledge → Answer behavior, choose Validated documents only when factual claims must be supported by reviewed sources. This enables knowledge and requires Pipeline speech.
Open Review document. Record publisher, original URL, publication date, applicability, exclusions and relevant tags. Add review notes and a future expiry, then choose Approved for validated answers. An organisation owner or administrator reviews the organisation's documents. Public disclosure approval remains separate.
The model drafts claims from evidence; another model request checks support and qualifications. The server validates citations, quoted evidence and numerical values before release. Missing evidence or unavailable verification produces the configured clarification or fallback. Tools and remembered facts cannot substitute for reviewed factual evidence.
These checks add latency and model usage. Test against your actual library.
Keep sources current
You can synchronize supported public HTTPS text, HTML, PDF or DOCX sources. Changed content creates a new version. Review and approve it before customer use; adding a new source to a draft also requires publishing the assistant.
Expired, rejected or deleted evidence becomes unavailable. Replacement requires fresh review and public approval. Retrieval uses semantic search with lexical fallback; similarity indicates relevance, not certainty.
Test before release
Use Test answer with a known answer, an unsupported question, conflicting sources and each supported language. Inspect citations and fallback behaviour. Publish, then repeat the question on the actual customer channel.
